Position Summary:
Piping Technology & Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer of specialty over 45 years, is seeking an Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will manage and reconcile financial records and transactions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Candidate must be a delegated diligent worker, organized, and work well with others.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial statements
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist in month-end close and financial reporting process
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and accounts
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for improvement
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and review letters of credit (LCs) and bond
- Partner with the Controller to manage and elevate the accounting organization
- Assist accounts receivable team, from new customer account setup including credit checks, customer invoicing, and collections
- Assist with PO reconciliations, progress billing, and raw materials.
- Prepare budget forecasts – Basic underanding of Cost Accounting
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- CPA certification is a plus
- Knowledge of Accounting software such as Quickbooks, Nersuites, Microsoft Dynamics, and Bill.com.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excell and word
