Variable Springs With Guided Load Columns And A Ptfe Lined Pipe Saddles

These F-type variable spring supports are fabricated from carbon steel with a hot dipped galvanized finish and designed with guided load columns to provide stability for minimum lateral movement. The fig. 46 pipe saddles are also fabricated from carbon steel with a HDG finish and lined with PTFE, 25% glass filled material. The pipe saddles are designed for 8″ to 36″ diameter pipe sizes, and the entire assembly is 50″ in height. These variable-saddle support assemblies are capable of supporting up to 22,300 lb. and 1″ vertical movements. We performed standard spring loading tests and a Q.C. inspection prior to shipping to an offshore oil and gas platform near Malaysia.

5′ 7-1/2″ Tall F-Type Variable Spring Support Assemblies

PT&P designed and fabricated F-type variables for an oil refinery in California. The variable springs are designed for an operating load of 49,771 lb. and an installed load of 43,000 lb. Two coils are used in tandem to achieve a vertical movement of 1-5/8″ downward. The variables are fabricated from hot-dipped galvanized carbon steel and are customized with an extended load column to reach an installed height of 67-1/2″. The variables for this project are the largest standard double springs offered; however, PT&P can customize to any load specification. Standard load testing was performed prior to shipment.

Piping Technology & Products, Inc. designed and manufactured several variable assemblies with pre-insulated pipe clamps for a chemical company in Texas. These assemblies are constructed of galvanized carbon steel hangers and hardware with Marinite® insulation.  The fabricated clamps range in size from 10″ to 30″, insulation thickness of 1″ to 8″ and with spring hanger sizes 80-180 standard, double, and triple variable spring hangers.
