The photograph above shows a launcher-receiver designed to be installed in a six inch pipe to launch and receive pipeline pigs. Pigs can be used for cleaning or for separation of two products in the same pipeline. This launcher-receiver was one of two built by the SWECO Fab, Inc. division of Piping Technology & Products, Inc. for a major Gulf Coast Refinery.

Shown above is one of three neutralization tanks engineered and fabricated by Sweco Fab, Inc. This particular tank is being shipped to the paint contractor for painting and special interior coating.

These tanks are 12 feet in diameter, 39 feet 7 inches high, and have a storage capacity of 25,000 gallons. Special features requested by the client include clips welded on the interior for mounting of headers.

The picture above shows a flue gas duct damper fabricated using Inconel for certain components by the Sweco Fab division of Piping Technology & Products, Inc. Two of these dampers were shipped to Trinidad for installation above the furnaces of an ammonia plant. They have a special refractory lining to withstand the high temperatures of the flue gases. The picture at the left show the linkage of the damper to the motor-driven control system. Each unit weighs approximately 2300 lb. and the openings are approximately 12 feet by 6 feet.

In this case the customer delivered the damaged tank to our site so measurements of the mounting could be obtained. The picture above shows a 20 foot section of a “Finger Joint” expansion assembly produced by PT&P for the Howard Franklin Bridge from Tampa to St. Petersburg in Florida.

This section is assembled and ready for shipment. Note the galvanized finish on everything except the temporary shipping bars. Each assembly includes four sections having a total weight of 11,227 lb. The fingers on this bridge are tapered to minimize tire damage to vehicles.
