The structural supports pipes are made of A106 Gr. B; the beam, angle and plate are made of carbon steel. They have an overall height of 11 feet with a weight of 672 lbs. The purpose of these products is to support a 3 inch intermediate pipe.

24" x 30" diameter, 740 PSIG Pig Launchers and Receivers
The launchers and receivers, with dimensions of 24″ x 30″ x 138″ long and 10″ x 14″ x 132″ long, are designed for 740 PSIG at 170 degrees. One of the Pig Launchers and Receivers composed of a 24″ dia. minor barrel and a 30″ dia. major barrel, while the other one consisted of a 10″ dia. minor barrel and a 14″ dia. major barrel. The major and minor barrels are fabricated from API 5L X 52. To ensure quality, the Launchers and Receivers were 100 % x-rayed and hydro-tested prior to shipment.
Pig Launchers and Receivers are installed in pipelines to launch and receive Pipeline Pigs. Pigs can be used for the cleaning of pipelines. In addition, Pigs can be used for the separation of two products within the same pipeline. Transition Piece for Olefin Site at Chocolate Bayou

Sweco Fab, Inc. recently designed and manufactured a 1,900 lb. transition piece for an olefin site at Chocolate Bayou on the Texas Gulf Coast. The product transitions from round to oval and is made of 36″ half pipe construction. The piece measures 36″ x 72″ x 60″ and is constructed of carbon steel. The transition piece will be used to regulate the flow of both air and liquid. Prior to shipping the product was hydrotested to guarantee quality.

Piping Technology & Products Inc., recently designed and fabricated 87 base supports and flanged trunnions for cold piping to be used in Equatorial Guinea. The products were designed according to customer specifications and the pipes range in size from 3″ to 24″. The base supports and trunnions were fabricated from micarta and A36 carbon steel.

Piping Technology & Products, Inc. recently custom designed and fabricated an 11′ x 11′ x 11′ six structural frame for a power plant in California.
Each post of the frame measures 11’x11’x11′ with knee braces 15′ long at 45º to the vertical post. The structure is made of carbon steel and includes W6X15 beams. The frame supports 24′ auxiliary cooling water lines and can sustain vertical operating loads of up to 13,500 lbs. This structure is also designed to withstand a seismic loading factor of .49 in all directions.

Installation of FRP Bundles in the Pipe84" Diameter Seawall Outfall Flow Regulating Device
Sweco Fab, Inc. recently designed and manufactured a 30,000 lb. Seawall Outfall Flow Regulating Device for a sea water outlet in Qatar. This 320 long flow conditioner is designed to allow water to flow through evenly. There are nineteen 16 FRP pipes inside an 84 diameter carbon steel pipe. The pipe bundle is secured within the 84 diameter shell pipe using spring washers, which keep the bundle tight and allows for differential expansion between the steel and FRP.

2800 lb. Pressure Vessel for an Oil Refinery Close-up of the Explosion Proof Electrical Junction Box
Sweco Fab, Inc. recently designed and fabricated a 2800 lb. pressure vessel for an oil refining company in the United Arab Emirates. This pressure vessel will be used as a dust collector to filter a process fluid for an unleaded gasoline project. The vessel, 30″ in diameter and 14′-11″ OAL, is designed for 150 PSIG and 248°F. Spot radiography, dye-penetrant, and hydrostatic tests were implemented to ensure product quality.

Sweco Fab, Inc. recently fabricated a Pig Receiver Class 600 with saddle supports for an industrial company in Texas. The pig receiver is composed of a 24 dia. minor barrel and a 30 dia. major barrel with 1 thick walls. It is approximately 250 in length and weighs 8,200 lb. The major and minor barrels are fabricated from API-5L Gr.B, X42 and SA106B material, respectively. All other items are fabricated from SA105, SA106B, and SA-36 as applicable. The receiver is designed per ASME B31.8 with a 0.72 Design Factor and NACE MP-01-75. The design pressure is 1480 PSIG at 125°F.

Sweco Fab, Inc. designed and manufactured two 5,000 lb. air intake stacks and two 300 lb. dampers for an oil refinery in Baytown, Texas. The air intake stack is designed to keep debris from traveling to the duct. It was manufactured from A-36 carbon steel and measures at 11’x 5’x 8.’ The damper is designed to control ventilation in the ducts. This damper is manufactured from galvanized carbon steel and measures at 73.5″ I.S. x 20.5″ I.S. x 7.5″ wide.

Sweco Fab, Inc. designed and manufactured a Flue Gas Duct, weighing over 66,000 lbs. and 18′-5 in length, for an oil refinery in Detroit, Michigan. The duct is designed to transport hot gases from the regenerator to the flue gas cooler. The walls are 1/2 thick with a high-density vibracast refractory lining. The rest of the unit was fabricated out of carbon steel SA-516-70 and is designed for a maximum pressure of 51 PSIG and maximum temperature of 1450°F.
Leak examinations where performed on the unit after fabrication, which included a10 percent x-ray test, a100 percent dye-pen test and a hydrotest at 77 PSIG.
