Piping Technology & Products, Inc. recently fabricated several anchor shoes designed for cold operating temperatures of -20°F. These shoes are fixed anchors to prevent movement of pipes spanning less than 25′-0 long. The shoes are made from A240 304 stainless steel in line sizes ranging from 4 to 16. An allowance for 2 to 4 of insulation material was provided.

Piping Technology and Products, Inc. recently designed and fabricated eighteen 1,200 lb to 5,800 lb. load PTP-2 type F size 100 to 150 variable springs for a company in South Korea. These variable springs fabricated from carbon steel are designed for 200°F. They have an overall height of 9.5″ to 11.5″ and are designed for a travel range of 1/8″ upward to 3/16″ downward. Per the customer’s request the variables were coated with a custom paint. To ensure quality, standard load testing was performed on the variables prior to shipping.

Sweco Fab, Inc. recently fabricated a Pig Receiver Class 600 with saddle supports for an industrial company in Texas.  The pig receiver is composed of a 24 dia. minor barrel and a 30 dia. major barrel with 1 thick walls. It is approximately 250 in length and weighs 8,200 lb. The major and minor barrels are fabricated from API-5L Gr.B, X42 and SA106B material, respectively. All other items are fabricated from SA105, SA106B, and SA-36 as applicable. The receiver is designed per ASME B31.8 with a 0.72 Design Factor and NACE MP-01-75. The design pressure is 1480 PSIG at 125°F.
