Cryogenic Insulated Pipe Supports Designed for a Petrochemical Complex in Louisiana
|
PT&P custom designed pre-insulated pipe supports for a cryogenic pipeline at a petrochemical complex in Louisiana. They range in size from 46″ – 52″ diameter and are designed for temperatures down to -20°F. The top portion of the support is 10 lb. density and the bottom is 20 lb. high density polyurethane foam (PUF) insulation. The shoe and bearing plates were fabricated from carbon steel with a hot-dipped galvanized finish. These cold shoes include a vapor barrier comprised of a three layer lamination of polyester film and aluminum foil. Standard quality control tests were performed prior to shipment.

Compact Springs Designed for an Oil Refinery Expansion Project
Type: | Compact Spring Supports (Disc Springs) |
Material: | Carbon Steel | PTFE, 25% Glass-Filled |
Design: | Movement: 1/32″ to 1/4″ | Load: 12,000 lb. |
Testing: | Standard Spring Rate & Calibration Tests |
These compact spring supports were custom designed for an oil refinery expansion project. They will be installed underneath a heat exchanger supporting a load up to 12,000 lb. The space available was limited to 3″ in height and the movements ranged from 1/32″ to 1/4″. These compact springs are fabricated from carbon steel and utilize engineered Belleville (disc spring) washers. 25% glass-filled (PTFE) slide plates are bonded to the top of the load flange and provide a low coefficient of friction.
