Piping Technology & Products custom designed these structural supports to provide base support for pipes at a liquid natural gas (LNG) facility in Louisiana. The supports are fabricated from carbon steel with a hot-dipped galvanized finish. Sizes range from 6″ x 12″ to 6″ x 18″ and all supports underwent a quality control inspection prior to shipment.

These supports are custom designed similar to a PTP Fig.900 bolt cradle support. They are fabricated from hot-dipped galvanized carbon steel and were designed for pipe sizes ranging from 24″ to 36″ in diameter. The assemblies include a gasket sealing material that will be installed between the pipe shoe and pipe. The pipe supports underwent dimensional and visual inspection, and stainless steel tags were riveted to the shoes prior to shipping to a chemical plant in Texas.

These big ton spring supports were designed for a liquid natural gas (LNG) plant in Australia. They were selected because the application required supporting heavy loads as the supported equipment undergoes thermal expansion during operation. The assemblies are fabricated from hot-dipped galvanized carbon steel. The travel stop rods and nuts material is A193 Gr. B7. The units measure 19-5/8″ x 19-5/8″ x 15″ and are capable of supporting loads up to 13,619 lb. while accommodating movements from 3/16″ to 1/4″. The big tons were tested with a load cell to insure proper operation throughout the big ton’s operating range.

PT&P designed and fabricated variable spring hangers for an ammonia plant in Louisiana. This B-Type PTP-2 variable hanger is fabricated from carbon steel and hot-dipped galvanized to protect against corrosion. The variable is designed for 0.955″ of downward movement and an installed load of 12,183 and an operating load of 14,723 lb. This variable included a 1″ forged steel clevis and the assembly was tested at a hydro-load of 15,750 lb.
